Air Force official says nonlethal weapons should be used on people in crowd-control situations.
Washington - Nonlethal weapons such as high-power microwave devices should be used on American citizens in crowd-control situations before they are used on the battlefield, the Air Force secretary said Tuesday.
Domestic use would make it easier to avoid questions in the international community over any possible safety concerns, said Secretary Michael Wynne.
"If we're not willing to use it here against our fellow citizens, then we should not be willing to use it in a wartime situation," said Wynne. "(Because) if I hit somebody with a nonlethal weapon and they claim that it injured them in a way that was not intended, I think that I would be vilified in the world press."
The Air Force has funded research into nonlethal weapons, but he said the service isn't likely to spend more money on development until injury issues are reviewed by medical experts and resolved.
Nonlethal weapons generally can weaken people if they are hit with the beam. Some of the weapons can emit short, intense energy pulses that also can be effective in disabling some electronic devices.
On another subject, Wynne said he expects to pick a new contractor for the next generation aerial refueling tanking by next summer. He said a draft request for bids will be put out next month, and there are two qualified bidders: The Boeing Co. and a team of Northrop Grumman Corp. and European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co., the majority owner of European jet maker Airbus SAS.
The contract is expected to be worth at least $20 billion.
Chicago-based Boeing lost the tanker deal in 2004 amid revelations that it had hired a top Air Force acquisitions official who had given the company preferential treatment.
Wynne also said the Air Force, which is already chopping 40,000 active duty, civilian and reserves jobs, is now struggling to find new ways to slash about $1.8 billion from its budget to cover costs from the latest round of base closings.
He said he can't cut more people, and it would not be wise to take funding from military programs that are needed to protect the country. But, he said he also encounters resistance when he tries to save money on operations and maintenance by retiring aging aircraft.
"We're finding out that those are, unfortunately, prized possessions of some congressional districts," said Wynne, adding that the Air Force will have to "take some appetite suppressant pills," he said. He said he has asked employees to look for efficiencies in their offices.
The base closings initially were expected to create savings by reducing Air Force infrastructure by 24 percent.

The crowd is getting ugly. Soldiers roll up in a Hummer. Suddenly, the whole right half of your body is screaming in agony. You feel like you've been dipped in molten lava. You almost faint from shock and pain, but instead you stumble backwards -- and then start running. To your surprise, everyone else is running too. In a few seconds, the street is completely empty.
You've just been hit with a new nonlethal weapon that has been certified for use in Iraq -- even though critics argue there may be unforeseen effects.
According to documents obtained for Wired News under federal sunshine laws, the Air Force's Active Denial System, or ADS, has been certified safe after lengthy tests by military scientists in the lab and in war games.
The ADS shoots a beam of millimeters waves, which are longer in wavelength than x-rays but shorter than microwaves -- 94 GHz (= 3 mm wavelength) compared to 2.45 GHz (= 12 cm wavelength) in a standard microwave oven.
The longer waves are thought to limit the effects of the radiation. If used properly, ADS will produce no lasting adverse affects, the military argues.
Documents acquired for Wired News using the Freedom of Information Act claim that most of the radiation (83 percent) is instantly absorbed by the top layer of the skin, heating it rapidly.
The beam produces what experimenters call the "Goodbye effect," or "prompt and highly motivated escape behavior." In human tests, most subjects reached their pain threshold within 3 seconds, and none of the subjects could endure more than 5 seconds.
"It will repel you," one test subject said. "If hit by the beam, you will move out of it -- reflexively and quickly. You for sure will not be eager to experience it again."
But while subjects may feel like they have sustained serious burns, the documents claim effects are not long-lasting. At most, "some volunteers who tolerate the heat may experience prolonged redness or even small blisters," the Air Force experiments concluded.
The reports describe an elaborate series of investigations involving human subjects.
The volunteers were military personnel: active, reserve or retired, who volunteered for the tests. They were unpaid, but the subjects would "benefit from direct knowledge that an effective nonlethal weapon system could soon be in the inventory," said one report. The tests ranged from simple exposure in the laboratory to elaborate war games involving hundreds of participants.
The military simulated crowd control situations, rescuing helicopter crews in a Black Hawk Down setting and urban assaults. More unusual tests involved alcohol, attack dogs and maze-like obstacle courses.
In more than 10,000 exposures, there were six cases of blistering and one instance of second-degree burns in a laboratory accident, the documents claim.
The ADS was developed in complete secrecy for 10 years at a cost of $40 million. Its existence was revealed in 2001 by news reports, but most details of ADS human testing remain classified. There has been no independent checking of the military's claims.
The ADS technology is ready to deploy, and the Army requested ADS-armed Strykers for Iraq last year. But the military is well aware that any adverse publicity could finish the program, and it does not want to risk distressed victims wailing about evil new weapons on CNN.
This may mean yet more rounds of testing for the ADS.
New bombs can be rushed into service in a matter of weeks, but the process is more complex for nonlethal weapons. It may be years before the debates are resolved and the first directed-energy nonlethal weapon is used in action.
The development of a truly safe and highly effective nonlethal crowd-control system could raise enormous ethical questions about the state's use of coercive force. If a method such as ADS leads to no lasting injury or harm, authorities may find easier justifications for employing them.
HAARP: A Weapon of Total Destruction

What this author wishes to make clear is that he believes HAARP is not the actual facility designed to be used as a military system but a "front" or "red herring" facility which allows the authorities to deny important questions about its purpose and operation. Albert Einstein's theories of relativity and the development of atomic energy are seen as the pinnacles of Twentieth Century technology. But Bernard Eastlund's discoveries, when they are eventually disclosed, will render many of Einstein's innovations obsolete.
You've probably never heard of Bernard Eastlund. If the US military has their way, you probably won't. He's a very private physicist with a small company in Houston. In the mid-80's, Eastlund invented and patented a technology that will nevertheless reshape our lives, for better or for worse, whether we like it or not.
Last month, ViewZone ran a photograph that was sent to us for identification (see Unusual Photographs). We received many wild explanations, from underground alien bases to ancient city streets. But a handful of anonymous e-mails were consistent. These described the long, parallel, perfectly straight lines as part of an antenna complex used to communicate with submerged submarines. These same e-mails spoke of "death rays" that could blast distant locations with lethal electromagnetic radiation.
The photograph was eventually believed to be an ELF (an acronym for Extremely Low Frequency) antenna installation, designed for submarine communication. There is one almost identical to the photograph in Michigan. Since our anonymous informants seemed to be so knowledgeable, we were curious about their claims of a "death ray" installation located somewhere in Alaska. Our informants directed our attention to something called HAARP (High Frequency Active Aurora Ionospheric Research Program).
HAARP is a military project based on Eastlund's discoveries. It is a technically difficult program to discuss with non-scientists and, as such, it has eluded the spotlight of the popular press. In addition, HAARP has been maintained partially as a clandestine project, operated by the US Navy. The information that is made available to the public is carefully worded to make HAARP appear as a bland, harmless, unclassified, atmospheric research facility.
This public image is maintained, in part, through a website, complete with a reassuring, updated, digital photograph, showing dozens of motionless aluminum dipole antennae at their remote Alaskan base. Public statements speak about "better understanding the ionosphere," a layer of Earth's atmosphere about 60-90 Km. high. They are polite when questioned, but stick to their "harmless research" stories, despite contradictions in the press and in publicly available documents. In preparation for this article, ViewZone contacted HAARP. Not only did they deny that the facility was doing military work, but they also diminished the work of Dr. Eastlund, implying that he knew very little about his own discovery.
Eventually everyone will know about Bernard Eastlund and his work. It will someday be taught in schools. His technology will impact every living thing. But this will have to wait for the military, who own his valuable patents, to release Eastlund's work for humane applications. For the time being, this work is buried in the secretive work of HAARP.
To completely understand Eastlund's work, you must first understand how and why HAARP works. This is not an easy task. But we'll try to keep it simple.
What Is HAARP?
The official HAARP facility is located in Gakuna, Alaska. The site consists of a collection of antennae, arranged in a computer-controlled grid, known as a "phased array." A phased array has the ability to focus radio signals in a precise direction, without the necessity of turning the antennae. Modern radar systems no longer use the revolving dish that we have come to recognize. The new radar antennae, which rely on phased arrays, look more like the flat screen of a drive-in movie, speckled with small umbrella-like antennae in neat rows. The phased array in HAARP is not a radar, but it uses some of the same extremely high frequencies to focus a powerful radio beam to specific locations in the Earth's ionosphere.
The ionosphere is a layer of charged particles (or "ions") located about 60-90 kilometers above the Earth's surface. It is the layer which reflects short wave radio waves and makes it possible for a transmitter in New York to send a signal to Tokyo. Short waves may be good enough to send The Voice of America broadcasts, but they are subject to noise and static. Short wave signals lose much of their power as they travel and can even be blocked by the weather and sunspot activity.
Extremely High Frequency waves, on the other hand, are much shorter than short waves. They travel in compact, narrowly focused, beams. They do not encounter static or deteriorate from rain or clouds. Since they retain their strength over long distances, they are preferred for most point-to-point communications. Unfortunately, though, EHF waves (including microwaves) do not naturally reflect and bounce off of the ionosphere. For this reason, high frequency waves are said to propagate along the "line of sight." If you own a satellite television dish, you know that it is important for your antenna to be pointed in the direction of the satellite. This is because you are receiving extremely high frequency waves.
Eastlund's discovery involved beaming High Frequency (HF) and Extremely High Frequency (EHF) waves, of extremely high power (over a billion watts), directly at a point on the ionosphere. When this was done, the ionosphere became heated from the accumulating electrical energy. You might think of it as "cooking" the atmosphere.
The heated portion of the ionosphere expands like heated plastic and is raised to a higher altitude, causing an atmospheric "bulge." Eastlund discovered that this bulge was highly reflective to radio waves, and, because of its altitude, it could bounce high frequency radio signals to points well beyond the horizon. Even efficient ELF and microwaves signals, which normally would pass through the ionosphere into space, could be deflected without much loss of strength. He called this heated "bulge" the "lens effect."
Eastlund's first patent (US #4,686,605) was for a "method and apparatus for altering a region in the Earth's atmosphere, ionosphere, and or magnetosphere." His second patent described the reflection of a second signal, using the ionospheric bulge, to distant locations on the Earth's surface. Eastlund had been working with the Atlantic Richfield Company, holders of a massive reserve of natural gas under Alaska's north slope. ARCO bought Eastlund's first two patents with the understanding that this new technology would make it possible for their natural gas reserves, too expensive to be piped from Alaska, to be converted to electrical energy on the north slope, and then bounced off the heated ionosphere to customers in remote locations around the globe. Also, because Eastlund's "heaters" could elevate the Earth's ionosphere, his discovery provided the ability to control weather! Jet streams could be altered, tornadoes could be zapped and rain could be made-- anywhere and anytime-- right here and right now! But the military had other plans.
Eastlund's patents were sealed under a US Secrecy Order. The military realized that his first patent outlined the recipe for an over-the-horizon radar apparatus, capable of detecting Soviet launched ICBM's within seconds of their launch. His second patent was even more appetizing. President Ronald Regan's infamous Star Wars program had challenged the military with tall order. Their complex laser systems, nuke satellites and rail-guns didn't work. The military were years from meeting Pentagon goals. Now, unexpectedly, their prayers had been answered. Eastlund's "energy transmission system" would be turned into the ultimate "death ray."
Wave length: explained
When we speak of "short" waves or "extremely short" waves, we are speaking about the distance that a radio signal must travel to produce one complete (often called "sign wave") positive and negative cycle. Electrons travel at the speed of light, a constant velocity in the universe, estimated to be 300,000,000 meters per second. The frequency of a radio signal is the number of complete "positive-negative" cycles that occur in a second (called "hertz"). A frequency of 15,000,000 (or 15 million hertz) means that the electrical energy is changing from positive to negative at the rate of 15-million times a second.
To determine the "length" of this frequency, or "wavelength," we simply divide the velocity of light, 300,000,000 meters per second, by the frequency, say 15,000,000 cycles per second, to arrive at a distance in meters. Thus, 15 MHz would equal 20 meters.
The length of a radio antenna is determined by the frequency that it is designed to transmit or receive. In the case above (15 MHz), the ideal length of a long wire antenna would be 20 meters. However, this is not always practical. Engineers have found that they can successfully divide the length in half, or in a quarter of the full wavelength, and still maintain both transmission and reception of the prescribed signal frequency.
If one uses this formula to determine the wavelength of ELF signals, which range from 30 to 3000 hertz, one can easily see why extremely long antennae are needed, as pictured in Viewzone's Unusual Photograph of January 1999, even if a quarter wavelength is used.
The US military was not the only investigator of "ionospheric heaters." The Russians conducted their own research with similar systems, based on Eastlund's technology. Other heaters also conducted research in Norway, Brazil and Puerto Rico. Russian "bigger is better" programs, however, beamed huge amounts of electromagnetic power at the ionosphere, successfully bouncing volleys of electromagnetic energy back to the Earth's surface. At these higher power levels, the heated ionosphere acted like a powerful battery, storing, amplifying and discharging destructive beams of energy that could devastate a distant target on demand, in seconds. At that time, the Russians (USSR) lacked the powerful computing facilities that were required to direct and control this energy beam.
To be precise, calculations for bouncing these energy beams must take into account the rotation of the Earth, the angle of reflectance, and a variety of complex, dynamic factors. The US had the power of CRAY and EMASS computer systems, but lacked the power output capabilities of the Russian heaters. HAARP would change that.
In 1995, the US military sought congressional funding for a "super-heater," a world class HAARP installation that would be capable of exceeding the Russian power outputs many times over. But there was a snag. The American public had been told that the Star Wars program was a "defensive" weapon. President Regan had even offered to share this technology with other countries to establish a "shield of peace" that would forever inhibit nuclear proliferation. But would the American public fund a "death ray" which could deliver "first strike" capabilities to any point on the globe within seconds? Even the military doubted that this would be an easy sale.
At first, the military attempted to describe the HAARP as a substitute for the controversial ELF (low frequency) transmitters. Eastlund's research had demonstrated that the heated "lens" could generate and reflect ELF radio signals if the applied HF power source was pulsed. The large ELF antenna systems in Wisconsin and Michigan could be replaced by the smaller, more efficient HAARP arrays.
Since their installation in America's dairyland, ELF signals were becoming a sensitive topic. Research was showing that ELF radiation was extremely harmful. Dr. Cletus Kanavy, chief of the biological effects group of the Phillips Laboratory's Electromagnetic Effects Division at Kirkland Air Force Base in New Mexico, stated that "the entire issue of human interaction with electromagnetic (RF & microwave) radiation is... a major national population health concern." (Biological Effects of Microwave Radiation: A White Paper, Microwave News at 12, September/October 1993).
Dr. Kanavy noted the "large amount of data, both animal experimental and human clinical, to support the existence of chronic, non-thermal effects." These effects include behavioral aberrations, neural network perturbations, fetal (embryonic) tissue damage (inducing birth defects), cataractogenesis (cataracts), altered blood chemistry, metabolic changes and suppression of the endocrine and immune systems. There were also cases of sudden and unexplained mutations in frogs and wildlife in the radiation paths of ELF installations. It was only a matter of time before the public outcry would prohibit ELF transmitters.

Someone in Congress realized the public safety implications of ELF waves-- even if they were to be generated by HAARP. The funding for HAARP was delayed while the Pentagon quickly assured the congressional committees that the ELF programs would be scuttled and replaced by HAARP's "high frequencies" which were, after all, "harmless." Congress thereby appropriated 16 million dollars for HAARP's initial expansion. But was the HAARP really doing away with ELF radiation? Not at all.(see 104th Congress, 1st session, Report 104-24 at 190, July 28, 1995)
The military's own Executive Summary of the HAARP program clearly states their reliance on ELF waves. Instead of transmitting these waves from ground based transmitters, HAARP created these waves through the use of "pulse" transmissions of their HF energy beams. Or, to put it another way, HAARP duplicated the ELF signals by turning their signal on and off at rates (30 to 3000 cycles per second) within the ELF range. The result was that ELF radiation could be directed to a specific area on the surface of the planet, at will.
"The potential exists for generating such waves by ground-based heating of the ionosphere. The heater is used to modulate the conductivity of the lower ionosphere, which in turn modulates ionospheric currents. This modulated current, in effect, produces a virtual antenna in the ionosphere for the radiation of radio waves. The technique has already been used to generate ELF/VLF signals at a number of vertical HF heating facilities in the West and the Soviet Union. To date, however, these efforts have been confined to essentially basic research studies, and few attempts have been made to investigate ways to increase the efficiency of such ELF/VLF generation to make it attractive for communications applications. In this regard, heater generated ELF would be attractive if it could provide significantly stronger signals than those available from the Navy's existing antenna systems in Wisconsin and Michigan."
"Recent theoretical research suggests that this may be possible, provided the appropriate HF heating facility was available. Because this area of research appears especially promising, and because of existing Department of Defense requirements for ELF and VLF, it is already a primary driver of the proposed research program."

All of these potentially harmful effects clearly violate the US government's own Environmental Protection Agency's doctrine. Congress established, through NEPA, that it is the policy of the federal government to "create and maintain conditions under which man and nature can exist in productive harmony." 42 U.S.C. Sec. 4331(a).
To date, there have been eleven other patents derived from Eastlund's original work. These patents describe the reflective alterations of the ionosphere for such uses as "nuclear scale explosions without radiation," "power-beaming systems," "over-the-horizon radar systems," and "nuclear missile detection and destruction systems." Further, the patents are now owned by Raytheon, a long-standing defense contractor, and can now be combined with other military patents and used for battlefield applications.
Eastlund's original research recognized the military uses for his discoveries. A review of his patent applications shows how this technology can be used:
"...ability to put unprecedented amounts of power in Earth's atmosphere at strategic locations and to maintain the power injection level particularly if random pulsing is employed, in a manner far more precise and better controlled than heretofore accomplished by the prior art, particularly by detonation of nuclear devices of various yields at various altitudes..."
"...It is possible not only to interfere with third party communications but to take advantage of one or more such beams to carry out a communications network even though the rest of the world's communications are disrupted. Put in another way, what is used to disrupt another's communications can be employed by one knowledgeable of this invention as a communication network at the same time..."
"...large regions of the atmosphere could be lifted to an unexpectedly high altitude so that missiles encounter unexpected and unplanned drag forces with resultant destruction."
Additional research indicates that funding was approved to develop a tomographic scanning apparatus back in 1996. This ability to penetrate deep within the Earth, to scan for caves, munitions storage and potential enemy shelters, is specifically outlined as part of the funding agreement. But the same wavelengths used in this tomographic scanning are powerful ELF radiation. And once located, strategic targets can be destroyed by changing the frequency and power of the directional beam. In short, the 104th Congress was duped into funding a "death ray." Recent (FY-1999) budget requests have included huge appropriations for the Navy, with emphasis on anti-missile technologies. The Navy is also developing high-altitude manned and unmanned vehicles at secret locations, such as those in Nevada. One such project is called "Aurora," suggesting a link to this new technology. It is our belief that this electromagnetic beam system is currently on-line.
Perhaps we can justify this dangerous manipulation of nature by convincing ourselves that America is the only remaining super-power, with morality and capability to be Earth's police force. Certainly this kind of lethal power is better controlled by a democracy than, say, a terrorist regime like Libya, or an unstable government like Iraq. The potential for building a HAARP type of installation is well within the technology and budget of even the poorest country. It involves no nuclear fuel and can be constructed covertly. Computing power is now virtually unlimited. The country that has such a capability on-line first, and is able to detect and destroy other such devices, could maintain the balance of power and control of the globe.
HAARP technology is presently under suspicion by a number of scientists around the world. The ionosphere has been described as a delicate "bubble" of charged particles that, much like the ozone layer, serves as a thin skin, protecting us against high energy particles that regularly stream towards Earth from the Sun. Even a temporary "hole" or rip in this ion field could result in the collision of these particles with our genetic and biologic molecules, causing mutations or death. Some scientists even worry that the ionosphere could collapse from electrical imbalance. They ask, "Can we really afford the risk of tampering with something that we do not yet fully understand, and which belongs to all life (not just human) on this planet?" HAARP has even been accused of environmental vandalism.
The Earth has a solid metallic core and a rotating mass of electrical conducting, liquid rock called the mantle. This makes the Earth behave like a giant dynamo, with a strong magnetic field. Not every planet has this. The magnetic field, or magnetosphere, is important for the existence of life, as we know it. It effectively diverts the solar wind as it throws charged, high energy particles towards the Earth. These magnetic fields are furthest from the Earth at the equator and they actually meet the planet surface in the Arctic regions. The latter phenomenon is the reason for locating ionospheric "heaters" near the polar regions of Earth, where they are most accessible and vulnerable to unnatural influences.
The solar wind is so powerful that it distorts the magnetosphere, causing the part facing the Sun to become compressed (left) and the side opposite to the Sun (right) to have a "tail," similar to the tail of comets. Together with the lower ionosphere, these charged atmospheres are essential for maintaining the radiation-free environment on our planet. Like the ozone layer, they are fragile but essential to life. The irresponsible damage to these ecosystems could turn HAARP into a weapon of total destruction.

ViewZone contacted HAARP, through their web site, in the preparation of this story. At first, our inquiries were treated lightly. We were assured that HAARP was purely a research facility with no classified status. When we submitted some of the material referenced in this story, we were told that there was no basis to support such activity at HAARP's Gakona facility. We were reminded that HAARP has an open web site, with ample pictures and public disclosures. We were asked, "Would a classified military operation act this way?"
A review of the Congressional appropriations indicates that the proposed HAARP facility was to be located in Alaska's Poker Flat rocket range (see Executive Summary parts 4.3 and 4.2.1) a flat, spacious and remote facility about 30 miles north of Fairbanks. The Executive Summary states any number of reasons why this tundra location is ideal. However, Gakona, the site depicted on HAARP's web site, is located 260 miles south of Poker Flats, in the rugged mountain country of the Alaska Range. Was there some mistake, or was the "public" HAARP program built in Gakona, while the classified projects were being constructed at Poker Flats, as planned?
We put this question bluntly to HAARP. Rather than answer with their usual candor, we received the following reply:
Viewzone: Can you comment on the wording of the appropriations statement that was submitted to the 104th Congress, as quoted in my e-mail?
HAARP: "No I can't. As an editor, I'm sure you realize that NO government employee ever comments on other branches of the government. This is a long-standing protocol courtesy and it is not ever trifled with. It is unfortunate that there are people who will twist this policy into some conspiratorial motive."
"As I have mentioned to you numerous times, this e-mail account is for the purpose of answering "technical" questions about the HAARP program. The anti-HAARP claims are easily refuted on a technical basis alone and I have given you the technical facts which do exactly that. The bottom line is that HAARP is technically capable of operating as an ionospheric observatory capable only, of conducting limited ionospheric studies which will yield enormous knowledge that will be useful in the design of reliable, high performance communication and navigation systems for the DoD as well as the private sector. It has about as much value as a weapon as the Keck Observatory in Hawaii or the Very Large Array in New Mexico."

Viewzone also asked the inventor, Dr. Bernard Eastlund, about his technology. Dr. Eastlund informed us that the patents he transferred are capable of doing everything that he stated. We asked him to comment on the fact that his discoveries had been acquired for military, rather than humane use.
Doctor Eastlund: "With some funding from the European Space Agency I have been able to address some of the issues you raised. In particular, I have continued to develop concepts that speak to the civilian (or humane) issues rather than the military.
I have taken a hard look at the potential beneficial effects of the root technology and have developed a new concept for prevention of tornado formation in mesocylones based on heating cold downdrafts within the storm with microwave radiation from a satellite based source. The concept is called the Thunderstorm Solar Power Satellite. I presented a paper entitled, "Systems Considerations of Weather Modification Experiments Using High Power electromagnetic Radiation" at the "Workshop on Space Exploration and Resources Exploitation-Ex[plospace 20-22 October, 1998, Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy. The Systems Study indicates a possibility it might work, but raises issues of safety and the ability of diagnostics and numerical simulation capabilities to monitor and predict behavior of a storm.
If successful, it might be possible to prevent the formation of destructive tornadoes. This could be a very positive outgrowth of my original work. Further extrapolations of the technology may also be useful in hurricane mitigation.
Regarding safety. I believe it is the paramount issue. Unless these applications can be shown to be safe no experimentation should be initiated. My Company has adopted safety guidelines which include guidelines prepared by the NAS for global warming mitigation experiments and a few that were added to ensure that the systems are not used for military purposes. The guidelines are included in a paper I gave yesterday at a conference on '"The Applications of Remote Sensing and GIS for Disaster Management." held January 19-21, 1999 at the George Washington University. Copy attached. Note in the guidelines I have made a strong recommendation for international control.
In the future, Dr. Eastlund's technologies will change our planet. Electrical energy will be available everywhere, without the need for transmission lines. Disasters from severe thunderstorms and tornadoes will be minimized, climates will be made milder, and food production will be enhanced by illuminated skies and ample rainfall. Global communication will be inexpensive. Critical ozone will be replenished. And, most importantly, nuclear weapons will have been made obsolete by the abilities to detect and destroy enemy installations. Terrorism will also be made much more difficult. In short, Eastlund's discoveries provide inexpensive energy and an end to draught and hunger-- the major causes of human violence.
But these humane applications are still in the future. Eastlund's patents remain under the control of the military industrial complex. We are more likely to see an instantaneous "death ray," or mass "mind control" mechanisms, before Eastlund's discoveries make the planet a better place to live.

I work for an American corporation and recently had occasion to travel by corporate jet to Japan. On the first leg of my trip, I left Chicago and stopped in Anchorage, Alaska, to refuel before crossing over the North Pacific to Tokyo. The trip was a long one but uneventful.
When I was returning, bad weather caused our pilot to divert from flying back to Anchorage to refuel and we were forced to refuel in Canada. To avoid the storm, we had to travel over the extreme northern parts of Alaska and Canada. The pilot requested the new route and was told that he would be heading into some sort of "restricted military zone." To my amazement, we were soon being escorted by a pair of what appeared to be Navy jets.
As I was one of only three passengers, I was allowed to view this scene from the cockpit area and noticed that the terrain we were flying over had been crisscrossed by a vast network of perfectly straight lines that extended for many miles. It was in the summer and so there was no snow, but the area is usually (I would guess) covered with ice and snow and uninhabited.
I took several pictures with my 35mm camera and have asked numerous people to explain what I captured on film. So far, no one has been able to explain this.
In the attached photograph you can see the tundra and a river. The dark areas were dark green pine trees and the light areas were a light brown sand color. There is what appears to be a very large rectangular building in the bottom left. This would be about 500 feet in length (my best estimate). The "lines" were not roads but seemed to be cleared areas where the trees had been cut. Some of these lines (in the right part of the picture) go straight across the river and make no attempt to go around obstacles.
If this isn't some kind of secret installation or natural phenomenon, I would like you to ask your readers if they can suggest what these lines could be. I will keep reading for any replies if you decide to post this. Thanks for your help.

In honour of those who died at the Pentagon on September 11th.
What hit the Pentagon? A Boeing 757 loaded with passengers and fuel right? Well perhaps that has now become a serious question of debate. Over the past year I have been collect information on the crash and making an attempt to piece together what actually happened. Believe me it hasn't been easy and I still don't have all the answers. However as time goes on I learn more and get more view points to work with. Much of this speculation can be put to rest perhaps by having the FBI release a video the took from a Gas Station surveillance cameras shortly after the Pentagon was hit.

Who was on Flight 77? According to the Flight Information there were No Arabs on it. That makes me wonder if Flight 77 actually existed at all? Please don't get me wrong here I mean absolutely no disrespect in bringing forward the names of the people on Flight 77. Here is the list of names that are unverified by myself. It is horrible to have to analyze the Pentagon crash when real people were killed and families must still miss them terribly but, there are a number of problems with the Official Story that do need to be brought to light. What pisses me off is there are no Government agencies anywhere in the world analyzing this information and bringing it forward to the public, nothing other than a few Members of Parliament or Government Whistle Blowers. It is disgusting!
Item one up for discussion are the obvious two pictures I have collect on the CAD models placed in front of the Pentagon as the models crash into the Pentagon.
We are talking about a 269,434 lb plane, hitting the pentagon wall at around 400 MPH.
Now that we have seen the plane lets look at the Pentagon 4 days before September 11th.
In this Image we can see an Ariel path marker in the grass. It is not easily seen on the ground but I am still looking for some ground pictures to back up this satellite picture. However it is a very compelling picture as the Masonic all seeing eye is visible here. The actual bottom part of the eye points at the impact point on the pentagon wall and in the approximate flight path that the object that hit the Pentagon took.
What does this mean, well in Illuminati Symbology terms it is like a calling card I would say. Further if what we are seeing here is real then it gives credibility to the fact that the so called Terrorists were Patsies and this Ariel marking pattern may have been used to mark the impact point from the air where the pilot or object was suppose to hit the Pentagon.

For two years I have been searching for a picture that would confirm the Satalite image and today a nice fellow found one and sent it too me. I find it amazing how blurred out the pics were. You can see the path marker and the outline of the eye as well, if you look closely enough! See part of the problem was that they covered up the grass with dirt and stones so fast that there were so few pictures available of the Grass as shown bellow.

Now this is important as we will see later there were some light poles knocked down and there is some discussion about the credibility aspects of the poles being knocked down. For now just realize that flight path matches the Ariel path marker, the All Seeing Eye embedded on the lawn.
Hollywood-like Fake Smoke Made 9/11
What is interesting about this article is that it shows evidence that the plane blew up just as it impacted the wall, indicating explosives were used to blow the plane. Further down I talk about the light poles which were supposidly knocked down by the jet, but it looks more like explosives were used to blow apart the bases of the light poles to create a path for the plane to travel too. The light poles would have destroyed the wings on any 757 Boeing Aircraft to my estimation.
Here we have an Apartment Building in Amsterdam taken out by a 600,000 lb 747.

I was a bit confused at first as to if the Punchout Hole was created by the object striking the Pentagon Wall or if the Rescue workers did it, in order to gain access to the damaged areas. It would seem that based on the debris and the heat/smoke damage done to the top part of the hole and the debris that it was indeed caused by the object hitting the wall. It is speculated that this was where one of the engines came through or a missile impact.

It seems like the hole is in line with the impact path and does support the fact that a missile may have hit the pentagon. However it would seem that this hole was actually done by a Backhole for the workers to gain access.

Now what we see here is debris being pushed away from the hole. The steel columns near the impact are not pushed in but pushed sideways, like what would happen if a bomb went off, not like what would happen if a plane hit it. You can see a hole big enough for the fuselage possibly on the left, However there hole the claimed hole it made is to the right, which clearly could not possibly fit the fuselage of a 757 through it. It is also important to note that there is no wing damage to the building at all. By all rights if the wings could take out Light Poles, beams shouldn't even be there, wouldn't you think? The smoke covers up the arching hole, so it is difficult to get a clear understanding of what the damage really is. It also makes me wonder if perhaps we are seeing 2 impact points, not one. The damage to right side of the picture looks like it could have been a explosion that occurred in the building, while to the left, that arching aspect looks like it may have been an impact point.
Take a look at this hole and notice that the I beams are gone, they are not there at all! Thus why then are the beems still there in the Pentagon Crash. The WTC was designed to take a hit from a 747 and yet the beams are gone! Thus it does support that a small aircraft or missile hit the Pentagon and not a AA 757.

Have a look at this business jet that hit a warehouse after skidding off a runway in New Jersey on Feburary 2, 2005. See that the wing has folded back, however that strong cinder block construction still got knocked out by the one wing that hit the building. Interesting that the same was not shown on the Pentagon. More examples of this will probably come in over time. Just note that wings damage walls, but not Pentagon walls, right? Also the plane is intact like, it didn't go poof! Hmmm...
Now take a look at this picture. Notice that the smoke to the right of the impact point is black versus the white smoke coming from the building. What is going on here? Now Crude oil when it burns gives off black smoke, so the question is what is burning over there to the right behind the fence that is giving off black smoke? Now I agree it just could be the lighting in the photo that makes it appear dark, but it is a separate fire. Because the Pentagon has a Helicopter Pad and is by a reason a heliport, it may also store fuel on that side of the pentagon. This may explain the contents being fuel stored behind the fenced area we see in this picture. If it was fuel, then the fireball we see from the security camera, might be actually the fuel exploding and not the plane. It is only a hypothesis at the moment, but just keep it in mind. As more information becomes available I or we can look into this further.
There also appears to be a line in the grass much like what we see in the Satellite photo up top, although it is still unclear that it is the same line, it is a line in the grass pointing at the impact site. Clearly the line in the grass points towards the crash site. It is one of the few pics that does show the line or rather All Seeing Eye.
This picture and the previous one show that something took out the fenced in area to some degree. The fenced area was probably damaged from the impact blast. The height of the stubs on the fence are lower than the spools of wire sitting on the lawn, so that doesn't support a wing impact at all. The spools shouldn't even be in this condition after a 757 hit the building. They would have been crushed. The hole in the pentagon is far to small for the fuselage of the plane to fit in so it is looking more and more like a missile hit than anything else.
I do find it interesting that with a 260,000 lb plane you don't see much of any aircraft debris, if at all. Another obvious question is, What are spools of heavy gauge wire doing on the west lawn of the Pentagon?
The Picture bellow even shows it more clearly that although some of the space has been blown out, the pylons remaining with stood the force of a 269,434 lb plane doing about 400 MPH, ploughing into it?
Now for the aftermath pic. If the plane did hit the Pentagon on an angle, why is it then that the damage done is not consistent with that angle? The Pentagon wall just collapsed straight down onto itself, but there is no angular damage is there?
Examining the Possibility of Planted Evidence (Like that never happens right?)
It was reported that both black boxes were recovered from the Pentagon Crash. Okay then, where is it? Surely a picture of it would be nice as they seem to want to show the public and with all the media around shouldn't be a problem right? Well perhaps they lied... I know hard to believe as it may sound, perhaps they lied. Here is the news article about the recovery of the black box.
Further I find it hard to believe that a black box would survive when there is apparently nothing of the plane that did...
Lets take a walk through to the crash site. Click on the link bellow to load a video taken on September 11th at the Pentagon. Watch for debris. You will see a piece of debris in the video that looks like a piece of landing gear. However the gear itself is not burnt, twisted or damaged in any way. Odd don't you think? The wheel is still inflated and not burnt off. I was shown a picture that alleged wheel in the picture was indeed a welders cart, which holds tanks. It could very well be, but the placement of it and to the casual observer it would register I believe as landing gear wreckage. Intentional or not, that's how I looked at it when I first saw it.

A Smoking Gun:
You can clearly see from this video that there was never a huge gapping hole created in the Pentagon wall. The hole is only one story high, first floor and all the other floors collapsed down on top of it. There is no way a Boeing 757 could ever have gone through there. This leaves us with two questions:
What did hit the pentagon and the other relates to who was involved in 9/11 that created this massive lie? It is easy to point fingers at the administration as they most certainly are suspects in my mind, however they couldn't do it alone. How many others were involved in this cover-up and treason?
Side Note:
Here is the comparison of the welders cart to the landing gear. Again similar to the landing gear in this fuzzy picture. I originally took this pic as being a possibly the part of the landing gear but later found out it was a welders cart. If the picture was higher resolution I may have realized it earlier. So lets continue...
A rim alledgely photographed inside the Pentagon. It does not match any rim found on the Global Hawk, but does resemble a 757 rim fairly closely but not 100%. The Color is not silvery and there is a missing indent that circles the rim near the outer edge that is missing. It may have been torn off. Until I can verify the origin of the picture I can only speculate. It could be a rim off of Flight 93 which was also a 757. Conisdering the nature of doctored pictures and cover up of video evidence, it is difficult to believe what pictures are real and what ones are manufactured. If you recognized this wheel on as being on other aircraft please email me and let me know or even better send me a picture of the aircraft and the related wheel rim.

This is pictuer makes it obvious that the front and rear landing rims do of the Global Hawk do not match the wheel found in the Pentagon Wreckage.
Here we have what I am told is a picture of the rear landing gear of an American Airlines Boeing 757 up close. The problem is that although this is being toughted as being the same wheel as that of one found in the wreckage, there are some problems with it. The color is wrong to begin with, should be silvery in color and there is a missing indent that circles the rim. The angle of the inner structure is also differnt and comparing the wheel found in the wreckage to the front Gear of the Global Hawk it is a possible match with the Global Hawk, just need a better picture to confirm this.
Compare the landing gear with a 757. The wheel in the wreckage doesn't look at all like the one found on the 757 and does look a lot closer to the wheel found on the Global Hawk.

It would seem that Jon Carlson feels that the landing gear photographed in the wreckage matches that of a Boeing 737. I am not sure if I have seen the pictures on a FEMA site or not, but the debris seems consistent with the Pentagon site. Take a look at the article and pictures.

Here we have another piece of wreckage. The color seems to be a lighter blue than that used by American Airlines. However the piece is also too small to correspond with the lettering on the 757 paint job according to other analysis work done on this web page. Just scroll down a ways to see it.
Clearly the blue part of the color is wrong and it supports the theory that something made to look like an American Airlines 757 is what actually hit the Pentagon. Also the granularity of the paint is different the AA 757 has a more metallic look to it.

The thing I find so interesting about this picture is the glass on the pavement in proximity of the pole. A jet going roughly 400 MPH hitting the pole and the glass from the light lands near where the pole is. The glass should have shattered the instant the plane hit the pole and land in a totally different area. This pole looks like it was just tossed into this position. What is also interesting in all the pole pictures is that the poles seem to have snapped off at the base. The mid section of the pole isn't even bent or dented, which is where the maximum stress would be as the pole bends.

Pole 1 may have been a Breakaway type light pole, but the other 3 poles we have pictures of don't appear to have this kind of technology designed into the them.
Note there is no pic I can find of Pole 2. So for now we will analyze these pictures.

In all the pictures I saw of these down poles I did not see any pictures of the where they poles were ripped out or broken. Another explanation of why the poles were knocked down is that C4 explosives could have been used to take out the poles. If you notice the pictures the clean cuts. It may be difficult to prove, but it is an idea that may have creedance. I need to investigate this area of thought further.

Witnesses claim that the poles were taken down by the wings of the 757. In every case where a pole was hit no aircraft metal or objects seemed to have come off where the poles were.

A piece of Airplane Debris Found by a downed lamp post. Yup it's a real smoking gun right? Well please explaining where on the American Airlines Boeing 757 wing is there paint that is white? There is some white on the nose cone and on the upper sides of the plane. Now the Global Hawk however does have some versions that are painted white. To further this if this is all that was found after hitting 5 poles I am truly amazed! I don't believe that this would be off any plane that hit 5 poles as I discuss bellow.

If the plane hit the poles going that speed the poles wouldn't be close the road or on the road, rather they would be thrown a long way from the road, providing they didn't sheer the wings off.

If you examine the area where the poles are lying down you will not see any damage to the grass and the one on the road the glass is

To further this example, think about all the radio towers perched up on all the buildings and around town. They all have aircraft warning lights on them right? What would happen to a plane if it hit just one of those towers, not least to say Five!
Bottom line is we have all seen accident pictures of cars crashing into light poles and know the kind of damage that can be done to car. So what about an airplane wing? The Plane would be a fireball before it even hit the pentagon and probably would have crashed into the lawn first as it would be pulled down by hitting the poles and rupturing fuel tanks in the wings. The Light Poles are planted and a detraction. With a little Photoshop Pro work anything can be manufactured wouldn't you say? However if the poles were down I suspect they wouldn't have been brought down by Flight 77.
A Boeing 757 can carry up to 11,489 Gallons of Fuel. Tanks are located in the under-belly and sometimes in the wings. The fire was limited to outer section and roof areas. The section of the Pentagon hit was only 5 days from completion of some very heavy fortified renovations. Heavy steel beams etc put into the building. Interesting that they were only 5 days away from the renovations when they got hit don't you think? It was interesting how all the fuel spewed out the World Trade Center but nothing spewed out of the Pentagon into the other sections. Odd thing, however if you check on the WTC page you will see that a 767 was fitted with some kind of fuel bomb to increase the drama I guess. The Fuel still burns at around 875 degrees and steel melts at 2800 degrees.
One final point about the poles. The so called terrorists had only about 10 hours simulator flight time a little bit of actual Cessna training and probably some played around with a flight simulator on a home computer from what I have heard on documentaries. The It is odd don't you think that the plan would swing around and hit the side of the Pentagon where the aerial marker was in the lawn. Also to steer a plane perfectly through 5 lamp poles just skimming the ground is pretty tough for a real pilot let alone armatures under a great deal of stress and chaos. There is no way in my mind that they could have flown the course they did and the course they did fly makes no logical sense. When you are determined to hit something like the pentagon, you don't aim for a particular wall you come in from above and you dive at it. To hit the pentagon the way they did is way beyond their skills and abilities. It is so much easier to just dive in at the Pentagon then to be slamming into Light Poles etc. With the total lack of airplane wreckage, bodies and luggage etc. it makes no sense that a 757 hit the Pentagon at all. There are a number of other supporting websites and theories that support this argument. Just a comment for now. I'll keep working on it.
Just as a side note, put yourself in the terrorists shoes for a moment. If you had a choice of hitting the Pentagon or the west wing of the White House, which target would you pick? I'll leave it at that.
It is still difficult to explain away why the Pentagon wall did not have any marks on it in terms of wing impact. The limestone would surely have been damaged by the wings. The block used to smash the F4 was designed to resist the impact of the F4, but I don't think the Pentagon wall was designed to take a hit by a Boeing 757, even with the upgrades that they were just completing, proof of that is the hole and damage created by the aircraft that hit the Pentagon, the block that stopped the F4 has no hole in it. This Article should cause you great concern as it shows how the US Nuclear Weapons and Plants have wide open access for private interests not just than Govenment or military to have access to them.
In the second video you can clearly see debris being blown back away from the wall. The F4 was completely shattered but parts were blown off and the wings stayed intact. The other factor is the F4 was just about out of fuel as it hit the wall. A missile or a plane would have additional energy in the fuel and/or payload it carried with it.
Considering that the damage to the building pushes the steel columns to the side and not in is very odd. You think that if a wing could take out a light pole a simple steel column would be Swiss cheese as well? Again it would seem odd that the building would collapse the way it did based on fire alone. Steel melts at 2800 degrees and the fuel from an aircraft burns at around 875 degrees. The other thing that is very odd is that you can see lots and lots of building debris, but I have yet to find one picture that shows any aircraft debris inside the building at all!
What hit the Pentagon? A Global Hawk Drone, Cruise Missile or a drone made to look like a AA 757?

What I find interesting about the collapse is that it didn't collapse in a free fall like we saw at the World Trade Center Demolition. The other thing I found interesting was that the fire fighters were not hosing it down during this particular period, why? Perhaps they wanted it to collapse? If there was a chance that someone was still alive but hurt in the upper floors wouldn't you want to rescue them?
The gif video shows the plane impacting the Pentagon. The only problem with this video footage is that it has been altered and can not be fully trusted. The other odd thing I find about this is that the explosion flame has two colors. It almost looks like in the first part of the explosion like it was pasted into the picture or it is the real explosion. The first part of the explosion on the Pentagon wall is most likely a high explosive fast burning fuel, meaning explosive device of some sort. There was a report about steel oil drums placed near the construction area, but of course I have no way of proving that.

When we all know the plane hit on the morning of September 11th? Further take note difference in the shadow angle of the building versus the shadow angle of the Light Box casting it's shadow on the ground in the fore view.
Since when do shadows look like this?

My point is that Cruise Missiles make vapour trails like this, but not always. Another explanation could be that an engine was damaged if and when it hit the light poles. Land and sea based cruise missiles have a solid rocket propellant that gives off white smoke like this, the Space Shuttle is a good example of that. So it opens a possibility that perhaps whatever did hit the Pentagon may have had a missile launched or active as hit or the object itself was a missile. The first part of the explosion could be the remaining solid rocket propellant or an actual explosive. The fact that there is an absence of black smoke which comes from a jet fuel fire at this point is more evidence that the plane was not on fire prior to hitting the Pentagon wall. Also take note that vapour trail is nearly on the ground, the plane should be skidding on the ground at this point.
